Let the games begin.

It has been a long break and very soon the players will be heading back to what seems to be a very challenging season and teams have all signed whom they think will be best for their club. However there are some few players who are still negotiating new contracts and some are saying goodbye to soccer but what ever the case may be we look forward to see who will be the champions for the 2011/2012 season. Arsenal are still reluctant in letting Cesc go to Barcelona  because they still want him at the emirates however we will see what will happen before the season begins. some players have made shocking moves that no one really anticipated but only time will tell whether it was a good move or not.let us watch and see how Jose will approach the Catalans and will they take the title under his nose again, will Manchester on the other end still keep the league title or will chelsea take back what belongs to them.

Football fever..

There have been quite a number of international friendlies and Euro 2012 qualifiers matches these past few days and we have seen a good round of matches that display football at it's best. What was expected to be a very mouth watering fixture between Brazil and Netherlands ended up to be a 0-0 draw and a very boring game.Argentina took on Nigeria and were trashed 4-1 what a surprise for a team that will be playing in the Copa America in a month from now, however Fifa are suspecting a fixed match as careless penalties were given by the ref for the day and other misjudged fouls how ever that is how the score remains. South Africa played against the 7times African Champions, Egypt and were able to come back with a draw in Cairo where most teams do not usually succeed in that, despite that it was not a really interesting match but anyway they got the point they wanted. As things stand South Africa are on the very verge of qualifying for the tournament that will be staged in 2012. England were also held to a draw by the Swiss, Germany are still on the role without having lost a match in Europe in their last 8 games, Spain went to the United States where they humbly beat them 4-0 which to me shows that the Spaniards are still true champions and will still dominate World football for sum years to come. This has been a wonderful weekend of football filled with good games and good sport-man-ship and let's hope it continues like that .

Barca vs Man United.

what is called the greatest final of the decade where the best players will face each other and the best managers will battle it out for their fourth Eufa Champions league title. the like of messi,Xavi,Pedro,Inesita and Rooney, giggs scholes and many more. a lot has been said about tonight's game but sadly there will only be one winner, but whoever prevails it will not be a walk in the park. i have faith in Barcelona as their are really true champions and play like ones too but Manchester are also good competitors and with Rooney on form he can trouble any defense in the world of football. when they last met it was in 2009 in Rome and Barcelona are now even a stronger team then they were  but so have Man u improved. both teams have 11 men aside and one ball in the field and there can only be one winner today and one will have to settle for second best. whats your say in this.?

Champions of South Africa once again

Once again Orlando Pirates have won the league for the first time in 8 years last wining in in the 2003 season. It has been a long season for all the teams in the PSL and even Ajax has it taken right under their noses, because it was surely theirs for the taking but sadly held to a 2 all match draw forcing them to loose the title. I must admit Pirate have been the most determined team and i give the full credit for it and surely the deserved it. there has been a lot struggles and at some point they looked to have lost their hopes but with the win of the MTN 8 that is worth 8 million surely they were motivated. Pirates will also play the final of the Nedbank cup challenge with 6 million for the winners of the tournament and the league with a splashing 10 million rands for them.  If they get this one more cup it means this season pirates would have made themselves 24million rands richer and that is a lot of money for building up for the team or buying new players. Pirates will have to prove that they are champions when they play a side of high caliber and lots of talent,Tottenham Hotspurs a team that was knocked out in the Eufa semifinals on their first  appearance . It will prove to be a rather difficult challenge but we will see what they are really made of.

FC Porto treble champions

FC Porto a team that some people had forgot about has had a wonderful season winning three major cups this season firstly the Portuguese cup, league cup and yesterday were crowned champions of the 2011 Europa  cup. They had a new coach beginning of the season and he surely turned things around. After having won lets hope they will not dislove becuase many players after a succesful season with their  clubs get intrest from top European Clubs and nine out of ten chances they actually leave the club. To their suprise they do not even get much game time and end up sitting on the bench then palying. This is the biggest problem the small teams that have huge talent they will often give up a  player just so they get money but most of the time they should be holding on to that talent and making their team better.

who's going where and who is retiring and who's the new kid in town.

As the season is nearing towards the end it will be interesting to see firstly Ronaldo winning the Golden boot, by being the top goal scorer around Europe. The season has been long to some frustrated players have have done more practice than actually playing football and their think it's time to go try elsewhere. when the season ends there are lots of players who's contracts come to an end and they have to either renew it or go for another team, There those who have reached their peak and its time for them to retire and go settle down from soccer. Rumors have it that Kaka from Brazil might leave Real Madrid but he says there is no such and he would still love to play at Madrid Tottenham  player Difou is also frustrated due to lack of game time and if things do not change he will certainly leave for a team where he will get enough game time. Ac Milan legend Andrea Pirlo has also come to the stage where he has to hang his boots, having played with this team for the last ten years and has had successful career wining the league 3 times and twice in champions league and a world cup winner in 2006. soccer has become more of a business than just mere game of football   because players no matter how much they were committed but when a fat cheque comes your way you will probably give in.Two seasons ago a world record was reached when Real  Madrid bought him from Manchester United for $90 million dollars.let us see who will go where and who is retiring and who the new wonder kid will be most likely they will be from Brazil.
